Shipstar integrates with Featurebase to create help center articles directly in your Featurebase workspace. You connect using an organization API key (no OAuth required), and Shipstar handles drafting, reviewing, and publishing articles from your recent commits.

Connect Featurebase

  1. In the dashboard, open Destinations and find the Featurebase tile.
  2. Enter your Featurebase organization API key — you can find this in your Featurebase account settings.
  3. Choose a default collection where generated articles will be created.
  4. The tile shows a check badge once the destination is configured.

Generate and publish articles

  1. Trigger a generation and select Featurebase Articles as the content type. Shipstar analyzes your recent commits and produces a set of articles (100 credits per run).
  2. Review the draft set in the Shipstar dashboard. You can edit individual articles before approving.
  3. When you approve the set, Shipstar creates the articles in your Featurebase help center under the collection you chose. If you'd like a second review inside Featurebase, articles can be created as Featurebase drafts rather than published live — set this preference when you connect.
  4. A schedule can send each occurrence's articles to a different collection if you want to organize content by release or topic.

Seed mode: build your initial help center

If you're starting from scratch, Featurebase Articles seed mode lets you build an initial help center from your existing repository documentation rather than just recent commits. This is a one-time operation that costs 300 credits and is a good way to populate Featurebase before switching to regular per-release generations. Trigger seed mode from the Featurebase destination settings in the dashboard.
